The funeral service for D was held at Worthing Crematorium on Wednesday 26th October 2022 at 9:30 am in the Muntham Chapel with a celebration afterwards at Findon Manor Hotel.

Although not forecast the sun shone all day, just as it did on D and Tony's wedding day 15 years ago, and there was colour and music just as D would have liked.

D was in the dress she was going to wear to Simon and Terrie's recent wedding and the men wore their wedding suits but with orange ties, D's favourite colour. The pall bearers and the celebrant also wore orange ties as their tribute to D. The spray on D's coffin included some of her favourite things, lilies, orchids, the colour orange and one of her teddies.  

The service started with the theme music to Inspector Morse, as D loved Murder Mystery programs and this was one of her favourites. D and Tony were due to visit Oxford this year to see some of the filming locations for Inspector Morse.

Terrie's father read Tony's eulogy, D's two sons Simon and Sam, read their tribute, Terrie read the lovely Poem 'Feel No Guilt in Laughter' and John, a long time friend of D and Tony and Best Man at their wedding, sang his version of the Leo Sayer song 'More Than I Can Say' during the visual tribute.

The service ended with music by D's favourite boy band BTS singing 'My Universe' with Coldplay

The reception was held at Findon Manor Hotel, in the same room where D and Tony were married, and everyone enjoyed some refreshments whilst sharing stories of the happy times they had spent with D and looking at a collage of pictures of her and the cards and flowers sent by family and friends.
